about

erasurehead is a recording project from A. Cooper Reid. Following the 2013 release of "Moonwort" on Singapore Sling, erasurehead joins the Plume family to release "Yauhtli" - a collection of liminal, moving, and paranoid noise-pop songs.

Yauhtli was the name of an Aztec incense made from the gold-yellow mexican marigold (tagetes lucida), which was blown into the faces of those about to be human sacrificed, or used in combination with peyote or other hallucinogens to induce clearer visions. Each tape comes with several seeds of tagetes lucida (with directions on cultivation and care) as well as a download card for a digital copy of the album.
